The Olds Club of Florida did a great job putting on their 25th Anniversary B.O.P.C. Show at Old Town on Saturday, October 25th, 2003. The weather was outstanding, and everyone involved with putting the show on came together for an almost flawless day. They had 150 car pre-registered, and 83 cars showed up on the day of the show for a total of 233 Oldsmobiles, Buicks, Pontiacs and Cadillacs. Breaking it down by make there were 54 Buicks, 84 Oldsmobiles, 79 Pontiacs and 16 Cadillacs. There were 15 vendors selling everything from parts to diecast models, and there were about a half-dozen cars in the “corral” awaiting a new owner. T-Shirt sales were brisk, and when talking to the Olds Club of Florida we were informed that the 50/50 raised $240, and that they gave out about 30 OCF Club applications. There were plenty of refreshments, and a catered McDonald’s brown bag lunch...plus lots of places to eat in and around Old Town. Awards were given to the Top 3 in each class, plus there were several specialty awards as well (see the results boxes), totaling 74 awards in all. Many in attendance ended a great show day by also staying for Old Town’s legendary Saturday Nite Cruise. The Olds Club of Florida should be proud of a job well done, and everyone in attendance seemed to have a really good time. Keep an eye out for next year’s show, and get your B.O.P.C. there!
