On Saturday, May 26, 2007, the Bay Life Church held their 2nd Annual Bay Life Church Car Show from 11:00am until after 3:00pm. Participants and spectators were greeted with warm weather, slight breezes and partly cloudy skies. 148 show vehicles registered for the event, held on the beautiful ground of the Bay Life Church in Brandon, Florida. The show was open to all types of cars, trucks and even some meticulously restored farm tractors. Door prizes were given out throughout the day, raffle items went to the lucky winners, and the 50/50 drawing paid out $245. Chick-Fil-A had a tent set up with food and drinks to benefit the Youth Group, which was also selling drinks and hot dogs.

After wandering through the show car area, many went inside the vestibule of the church to cool off in the air conditioning and check out the vendors’ tables. Representatives from PartyLife candles and Mary Kay cosmetics were on hand, and the Pampered Chef gave out tasty food samples, including a really good veggie pizza snack.

The judging was going on throughout the day, with 1 participant vote for their favorite, and the two judged, Rick and Greg, carefully evaluated the show field to make their selections for the Judges’ Choice Awards. The judging was completed shortly after 3:00pm, and the votes counted, the scores added up, and the awards were given out for the People’s Choice, the Judges’ Choice Awards, and the Kids’ Pick. After the winners were announced, they parked their rides up front so everyone could see the winning vehicles as well as pose for a photo session.

The 2nd Annual Bay Life Car Show was a great way to spend a Saturday and support the High School Youth Group.
