Joe “Amboy Duke” Madeline had his Clermont based 1948 Ford Coupe in attendance, and it was looking as good as ever. Among the many mods, every sheet metal panel on the car has been modified, all in a cohesive plan to make the car sleeker than stock. The top was chopped 2-7/8” in the front and 4-7/8” in the rear, it has custom “ground effects” and molded in lake pipes. The exterior is painted candy red with a white rolled and pleated vinyl interior, and is powered by a 350 Chevy. The car was on our April 1999 issue’s cover.
