The jaws of many onlookers dropped when they looked under the hood of David Salisbury’s 1972 Monte Carlo. It has a 540ci Merlin III big block with bowtie heads and intake, Crane roller cam, Holley 870 cfm carb, and Hooker headers. It is matched to a TH400 automatic with a 3,500 stall converter, and a 12 bolt rear end with a 3.73:1 Eaton posi. The red paint with black stripes is complemented with a set of 15-inch polished American mags, and a black vinyl interior complete a nice, clean and powerful ride.
