AA/Fuel Altereds were often evil handling beasts. The DiMatteo Brothers ran this sharp looking Austin Bantam AA/FA, powered by a blown early Chrysler Hemi. It was a show quality car, unfortunately it would not go straight down the track very often. Check out this 1970 shot from Orange County International Raceway, at Irvine, California. You can see the car only has one tire on the ground!!! At this point in the run it had only moved a few feet off the starting line! Wild!!!
