Don Schumacher, the Father of modern day NHRA Top Fuel star Tony Schumacher, was one of the stars of “Funny Car" racing in the late 1960’s and early 1970’s. Now days he is known as perhaps the most prolific car owner on the NHRA scene. Here is Schumacher debuting his then new 1970 Plymouth Barracuda at Beeline Dragway in Arizona during the 1970 AHRA Winternationals. Note the amount of ground clearance on this car.
