Race weekend brought out a few pace cars, and Jeff Ferrante’s 1968 Ford Torino Indy 500 pace car stood out with its bold marking. The Wimbledon White paint features red, blue and gold graphics from the 52nd Annual Indy 500. Equipment includes a 302 V-8, C-4 automatic transmission, 2.79 rear axle, and Magnum 500 wheels with raised white letter tires. The two-toned red and dark blue interior has bucket seats, a console mounted floor shifter, full gauges including a 120 mph speedometer, fuel, temp and tach, and an AM/FM radio. The car was ordered as a promotional/festival car, and is a unique part of automotive history.
