Lou and Linda Zibrin from Ocoee showed their 1964 Chevrolet Cheetah Tribute, which Lou recently finished, at our Beach Blast 14 on May 18th, 2008. In ‘64 the Cheetah was originally built by Bill Thomas to compete against the Shelby Cobra. It used a ‘64 Corvette 327 reworked to produce over 500hp, hooked up to a 4-speed transmission. It also featured gullwing doors. Lou’s car has been updated with tubular A arms, coil overs all around, a fuel cell, disc brakes, as well as the chassis and roll cage being redesigned. It was also made street legal with the addition of lights.
