Woody wagons are synonymous with surfing and fun, so this 1949 model brought lots of smiles to attendees. It belongs to George Sandone of Spring Hill, and was looking resplendent in burgundy paint highlighted by the beautiful mahogany and maple wood inserts and trim, chrome smoothie wheels and white wall tires. Under the hood is a nicely accented small block motor and automatic transmission, and the interior has tan cloth upholstery and a center console that runs the length of both front and rear seats. Employing some 50’s customizing trends, the top of the Woody has been chopped 4-inches, the door handles shaved, and cat eye headlight rings installed. Looking at it you could almost hear the Beach Boys, Ventures, or Jan and Dean playing in your head.
