This 1933 Ford 5-Window is being used as a test car for the new Motor City Flatheads motor, which has a brand new cast aluminum block, water pump, and pretty much everything else. The car belongs to Paul Redman, but Mark Kirby and Phil Goller have been driving it cross-country to events, logging 9,730 miles by the time they arrived at the Turkey Run in Daytona. The motor produces about 210 horsepower, approximately 300 ft. lbs. of torque, and has been very impressive thus far. The motor will be marketed by Shadow Rods, and has been under extensive development for a long time. This should nicely fill a niche market, since good original flathead blocks are getting harder and harder to find, plus these new castings address shortcomings of the original design, plus allow the motors to be built with more displacement if desired. If all this sounds like a great idea, you can find out much more info by visiting www.motorcityspeedequipment.com.
