For 1971, the Comet name was revived on Mercury’s version of the Ford Maverick compact, with the Comet GT receiving various additions to make it more aggressive. Marc and Maurie Rouchard of Windermere, Florida own this Zinc Yellow colored 1971 Mercury Comet GT. The sporty looking exterior has sport mirrors, Cragar S/S wheels with raised white lettered tires, bold black GT accent stripes, and a black rear spoiler. The muscle comes from a dressed up Ford performance 302 cubic inch V-8, a B&M floor shifter for the C-4 automatic transmission, and dual exhausts. The black interior has vinyl bucket seats, and upgrades include a Sony CD player and under the dash mounted SunPro gauges.
